Frequently Asked Questions

I selected Local Pickup for my order. When can I come pick up my order?

We will pull the order on our end, and mark it as “Completed” or “Shipped” in our system, which will send you an email notification. Once you receive that notification, you may come and pick up your order. Please wait to come pick up your order until you receive this notification. If you select Local Pickup from Saturday after 4pm EST to Monday at 10am EST, the earliest you’ll be able to come pick up the order is Monday, because we are closed Sundays.

What is the Bison Botanics Online Points Program?

Every dollar you spend with Bison Botanics earns you 1 point, and every 100 points you earn means you can take $10 off your next purchase!

When are my points applied?

Points are applied in your cart at checkout, as long as you use the same email for each purchase.

Where can I log into your new website?

You can log in at the top of every page that says “Login /Signup,” or you can click here.

Where is the cart on your new website?

The cart is always available in the upper right hand corner on a desktop device. The cart is visible on mobile or tablet after you add a product to the cart.

Where are my points stored?

Points are stored in our website, and are available to use anytime you purchase from our website online.

Can I earn points for my in-store purchases, or online only?

You can only earn points from shopping on our website. Our in-store purchase system is not able to send information to our website, so unfortunately you cannot earn points from shopping in-store.

If I call to place an order over the phone, or come into the store, can I use points from online to discount my purchase?

No. We cannot use your points if you call us on the phone or come into the store to make a purchase. The in-store register is not connected to the online/website store, and it is not an easy process to track those things and update from one system to the other. Points are exclusive to online/website sales only.

How can I check my point balance?

There are three ways. First, after all purchases, your point balance will be displayed on the order confirmation/thank you page. Second, there is a place on your customer profile where you can check your balance directly. Finally, you can always contact Bison Botanics during our regular business hours, and we’ll be able to provide your balance.

Can I pay online with either a Bison Botanics or Shop716 Gift Card?

No, unfortunately our website payment processor is not configured to accept gift cards as a method of payment. If you have either a Bison Botanics or Shop716 gift card, please call us at 716-259-9001, and we will process your order and payment over the phone.

Full Spectrum vs Isolate:

There are a number of reasons that someone may want to use a CBD isolate product rather than a full spectrum CBD product. Here are a few of the most common:

Drug Testing – While in the United States CBD products are not allowed to have more than 0.3% THC there have still been some instances in people failing a drug test due to a false positive for THC. Using a CBD isolate product ensures that you will not run into this issue.

Cannabinoid sensitivity – Some people have sensitivities to the different cannabinoids, most notably THC. For some people, even the smallest amount of THC can trigger an undesired feeling. While the amounts of THC in CBD products that are made using an extract from a hemp plant are typically very low(less than 0.3%), everyone’s bodies are different and handle things in a different way. Using a CBD isolate product ensures that you will not run into this problem.

Cooking – There are a lot of people out there that like to cook with their cannabinoids but not all people like the taste of cannabis being added to their food. CBD isolate is an odorless and tasteless extract that can easily be added to soluble ingredients that won’t change the taste of the meal that is made.

What is CBD Isolate?

CBD isolate is your purest form of the CBD cannabinoid. This is a multi-step extraction process that leaves you with a powder or crystals that contain only the CBD cannabinoid.

What is Full Spectrum CBD?

Full spectrum CBD refers to an extract that has more cannabinoids than just CBD. This is more of a full plant extract. The extract contains a high concentration of CBD but can also include CBG, CBN, CBC, trace amounts of THC, and other cannabinoids. Current federal regulations have set a legal limit of 0.3% or less of THC in an extract or product.

Full spectrum CBD products are the most commonly used products on the market right now. The reason for this is because it believed that all of the different cannabinoids working together can be more effective. This is called the “entourage effect”.

What is Delta-8 THC?

Scientifically, from a molecular perspective, Delta-9-THC and Delta-8 aren’t that different. The difference is a particular chemical bond appears on the eighth carbon — instead of the ninth. In short, this molecular difference is considered “Legal THC”, and was legalized in December 2018 when the Farm Bill was passed.

Which type of CBD product is best for you?

Due to the current regulatory environment, on both a federal and state level, we cannot make a recommendation as to which type of CBD product will be best for you. We’re hoping with new regulations from organizations like the FDA that they will come up with guidelines on what can be said that the great hemp plant can do and how much should be taken at a time. For now, we recommend that you do your research and reach out to us with any questions.
